Welcome to Adams driving school. The founder and sole instructor, Richard Adams, is a fully trained DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and has been teaching since March 2014 after passing all his exams, Theory/Practical and Teaching with the DVSA between January and March 2014. Richard must be regularly DBS & BAR checked and is Standards Check Tested by the DVSA every four years to make sure his teaching ability meets their high standard. Richard’s transition into instructing was a simple one as he had been teaching and coaching sports for just under eleven years for ages between five years and adulthood. Richard is also a father of four, and enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren when he can.
Adams Driving School can meet any requirements you require or need. We create Working Lesson Schedule’s that suit anyone’s learning capabilities with personalized times frames which are based on the structured coaching formats Richard used in his time as a teacher and coach. Adams Driving School has created written plans that pretty much anyone can follow, and we offer help with the Theory Test should you require it.
Please be assured that if choosing Adams Driving School as your instructor, your lessons will be relaxed, easy to understand and most of all fun with a lot of laughs along the way.

It is your responsibility to provide your instructor with proof that you have a valid licence to drive before the commencement of your first driving lesson. If you fail to provide this proof, your instructor is entitled to refuse to conduct the driving lesson but may still charge you for the driving lesson. To have driving lessons you must:
-Be aged 17 or older (16 or over if disabled)
-Hold a driving licence that is valid for the UK (provisional or full)
PAYING FOR LESSONS
Payment for all lessons must be paid in advance, this includes block bookings. Your booking is not secured until this is done and your booking may be offered to someone else if you have not paid.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You must give at least 24 hours' notice if you wish to cancel or re-arrange a booked driving lesson either by telephone or text message. Messages via my website or social media are not accepted. Failure to do so will result in Adams Driving School charging you the full amount for that driving lesson. If your instructor cancels a lesson without giving this minimum period of notice your instructor shall rearrange the lesson or make alternative provisions.
Cancellation of driving tests- The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) requires you to give three clear working days to cancel your test as does Adams Driving School. This may mean that you may lose your DVSA test fee/instructor-related fees if you don’t cancel it in time.
Exceptions: Adams Driving School reserves the right to consider exceptions to the policy for extenuating circumstances, these will be assessed on an individual basis.
REFUND POLICY
Adams Driving School does not offer refunds on cancelled lessons or lessons already taken unless specifically agreed. We may refund, in part or full, if there are extenuating circumstances causing a student to cancel their lessons, this is at the discretion of the business and any refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds issued will be processed within 5 working days and by bank transfer only to the account which payment originated from.
